Mercedes-Benz has announced that they are recalling 126,260 vehicles in the US because of an error that can cause the sudden opening of the airbag or non-activation of safety systems in case of an accident.

The recall includes the following models: 2008-2009 C-Class and 2010 GLK 350. In these models, a mistake in the manufacturing process can result in corrosion and possible malfunction of the airbag control system. According to NHTSA, only three cases were reported in which the airbag opened unnecessarily.
