Toyota has managed to sell 1,000,000 hybrid cars in Europe. The 1,000,000th car is a Hybrid Auris with its German owner getting as a gift for a year another hybrid Auris.
Toyota and Lexus have sold more than 8 million hybrid cars worldwide since 1997 and now 14 hybrid cars represent 23% of annual sales in Europe. Toyota’s aim is to have a hybrid model for each category of vehicles by 2020.
