Mazda North America announced the changes for the 2016 CX-5. The Japanese SUV now features a rear view camera as standard on models equipped with the 6-speed automatic transmission, with the mid equipment level and above to feature a navigation system and heated front seats.

Mechanically nothing changes and the CX-5 is offered with a 2 liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine producing 155 hp and 203 Nm of torque and a 2.5 liter SKYACTIV-G petrol engine with 184 hp and 250 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with the power passing on the front axle, while a four-wheel drive system and a 6-speed automatic transmission are offered as optional.
