MAN presents the TGE

MAN has decided to enter a new category, that of large commercial vehicles with the TGE, that is a rebadged VW Crafter, since the company is owned by the Volkswagen Group. The car is exactly like the Crafter, except for some details on the front and the interior.

The TGE is available with three different lengths (from 5.983 to 7.388 mm in the long version), three different roof heights (from 2.340 to 2.800mm), with the maximum cargo volume to reach the 18.3 cubic meters.

It is available with a 2-liter diesel TDI Euro6 engine yielding from 102 to 177 hp, in different versions, combined with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. The power can be transferred to the front, rear orall wheels, according to the model, that somebody chooses.

The car has several security systems such as the fatigue recognition system, adaptive cruise control, multi-collision brake, Emergency Brake Assist, back up assist, trailer maneuvering assistant and many more.

MAN will initially sell the TGE in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands with sales in other European countries starting from autumn.
