The Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept was unveiled by the CEO of Audi, Rupert Stadler in the margin of VAG Group Night Event a few hours in Frankfurt. At the same event were presented both the A3 Cabriolet and the A3 Sportback e-tron.

Audi in Frankfurt will not only present the Audi Sport quattro Concept but that the Nanuk Quattro Concept. The off-road equipped with a 5.0 -liter V10 TDI engine producing 544 hp and 1.000 Nm of torque , being able to complete the 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds . Audi says the prototype shows some elements of the future of design philosophy , when many elements are very likely to be seen in the second generation of the R8.

If it reminds you the ItalDesign Giugiaro Parcour Concept, you’re right, since the prototype is made in collaboration with Italdesign Giugiaro, the Italian design house which now belongs to the VW Group. The 1.000 Nm torque is available from just 1500 rpm , with the power being transferred to all four wheels via a seven speed S Tronic automatic transmission .

It is made of CFRP, wearing the Audi Space Frame (ASF). It weighs about 1,900 kilos, has an average consumption of 7.8 liters/100 km and a top speed of 305 km/h.  It stands on 22 inch rims with tires size 230/30 front and 295/45 rear . It has an adaptive air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers giving the driver the ability to change the distance from the ground. There are three settings (normal , 30 mm lower and 40 mm higher ) , with the suspension system to working with the navigation system giving the ability to increase or decrease only the distance depending on the conditions of the road.

It is equipped with the Audi dynamic steering. When the driver moves at low and moderate speeds , the rear wheels are turned up to nine degrees in the opposite direction of the front wheels. This reduces the wheelbase by nearly about 100 centimeters, thereby reducing the turning circle of about 10 meters. So the prototype becomes more agile and neutral at cornering .

At higher speeds , the system changes the geometry of the rear wheels by 2.5 degrees in the same direction as the front wheels . This extends the wheelbase of almost 140 centimeters, thus offering better stability .

The Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept has a length of 4.541 mm, width of 1.990 mm, height of 1.337 mm and a wheelbase of 2.710 mm. It is painted in red wearing LED lights , it has no mirrors but cameras , and inside we find only the essentials. The two seats with 6-point safety belts , the gear selector and the digital dashboard, it also features carbon decorations and all the controls are on the steering wheel and the center console.
