Cadillac presented at Geneva the ELR that we saw for the first time in Detroit. The two-door hybrid sports coupe, features a luxurious, yet sporty interior that can carry 4 passengers. The interior is dressed in leather and the car is equipped with a LED backlight, 8 inch dashboard panell and carbon black and shiny ornaments.

It is front wheel drive and uses the Voltec upgraded system the same one as the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 16,5 kWh  that gives the car a 56 kilometer electric range, whith the use of the 1.4 liter engine gasoline engine which produces electricity to charge the batteries, the autonomy reaches 480 km.

The two engines combined deliver 207 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The 0-100 km/h is completed in 8 seconds with a top speed reaching 161 km/h. The batteries weigh 195 pounds, have an eight warranty and need 4.5 hours to fully recharge via a 240 Volt socket and 12 hours via a 120 Volt socket.Production will begin in late 2013 with sales starting at early 2014.
