Citroen presnted officially the new C4 Picasso. It is based on the original Citroen Technospace concept, and what makes it special is the lighting design and it’s large glass surfaces. At the interior there are two HD screens of 12 inches and 7 inches, it has cruise control, active seat belts, park assist, reading lights on the backs of the front seats and much more.
It is based on the EMP2 platform, which weighs 70 kg less than the previous one. Its length is 4.43 m (40 mm smaller than the previous generation), width 1.83 m, height 1.61, and 2,783 mm wheelbase (+55 mm), which offers plenty of interior space for five passengers and their luggage (537 liters). Overall, the new C4 Picasso has lost 140 kg compared to its predecessor.
It is equipped with the e-HDi 90 Airdream engine, combined with a six-speed automatic dual-clutch ETG6 gearbox, the C4 Picasso emits 98 g/km of CO2 and it has an average fuel consumption of just 3.8 litres/100 km. The version with the e-HDi 115 engine emits 104 grams of CO2 per kilometer and consumes 4 liters per 100 km, while the e-HDi engine with 150 horsepower, has the SCR system and emits 110 g/km of CO2. It will also be equipped with two petrol engines, the VTi 120 and the THP 155.
It is available in 8 new colors and it is equipped with 18 inch wheels. Production will begin in June and it is expected to be available in the fall.
