Alpine’s return is closer than ever. The French company announced that they will present the production version of their first car on 16 February.
The car is very likely to be called A120 and it will make its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. The basic version will be presented in February, but the strongest version will be unveiled one year later.
It will be equipped with a brand new 1.8 liter gasoline engine, which was developed in collaboration with Nissan and it will also be used in the Pulsar Nismo.
Rumors say that the engine will have three power outputs of 250, 275 and 300 hp. The first two outputs will be produced by practically the same engine with some changes to the settings, but the third output will be delivered from an engine that will have a different cylinder head and cooling system. The engine will be combined exclusively with an automatic dual-clutch 7-speed transmission, while the weight of the car will be between 1,100 and 1,200 kg.
