The Arash AF8 went to the track Top Gear, at Dunsfold Park, in Surrey, England, to carry out some development tests and in the video that follows Shmee150 presents the car to us.
This new model is a variation of the old AF10, the small company wants to come back with the AF8. The vehicle has a length of 4.15 meters, width of 1.9 meters and a height of only 1.1 meters. The design is characterized by clean lines and sharp edges. The only design element that doe not look so good, for me at least, is on the back and on the exhausts.
The Arash AF8 is equipped with exactly the same engine as the AF10. A 7 liter V8 engine of GM that delivers 550 hp @ 6,500 rpm and 640 Nm of torque @ 5,000, combined with a 6 speed manual gearbox that transfers the power to the rear axle.
Given that the car weighs just 1,200 kilos ( thanks to its carbon fiber bodywork, the titanium exhausts and other measures that were taken to reduce weight), a great performance is expected. Arash Cars says that the 0-100 km/h comes in 3.5 seconds and that the top speed is 322 km/h. The braking of the car is done by 380 mm ventilated discs with six-piston calipers for the front wheels and 362mm ventilated discs with four-piston calipers for the rear wheels.
