Andy Palmer, the CEO of Aston Martin has said on an interview on the sidelines of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, that the company is preparing a 1,000 hp car that will probably be electric.

As long as I am here, we will not put diesel engines on an Aston Martin and I do not believe that the Cygnet was the best we could do.
said Palmer
and he continued saying that an electric vehicle that will be more powerful than a Tesla makes sense, since the buyers of the Model S, are ordering the “loaded” version.
I’m a fan of electric vehicles, not for their fuel economy, but for their performance. We are working on a vehicle that could look like a four-wheel drive, 1,000 horsepower Rapide.
