Aston Martin presented the Vantage GT3. The “most capable Vantage”, which features an extensive, carbon fiber body kit that includes new bumpers, a front splitter, rear diffuser, new side skirts, wider fenders and a big spoiler.
The car also features carbon fiber hood, black grille, 19 inch forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and exhaust tailpipes with ceramic coating.
The interior features a center console made of carbon fiber and has touch controls, while the seats are also made from carbon. The steering wheel is lined with Alcantara, while the Vantage GT3 also has an entertainment and information system and GPS navigation.
It is equipped with a 6 liter V12 naturally aspirated engine that delivers 600 hp and 625 Nm of torque. It is worth noting that the intakes of the engine are made of magnesium, the exhaust is made of titanium and the drive shaft is made of carbon fiber. The engine is combined with a manual 7-speed transmission, with the 100 km/h from a standstill, being achieved in 3.7 seconds having a top of 297 km/h.
The suspension of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 has new springs and dampers while the modified Adaptive Damping System, offers three different modes: Normal, Sport and Track. The car also has a limited slip differential and carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo. The Vantage GT3 is 100 kilos lighter than the V12 Vantage S thanks to a lithium-ion battery and plenty of carbon fiber. Customers can also order their own Vantage GT3 with carbon fiber roof and polycarbonate windows to maximize weight loss.
The production of this special Aston Martin Vantage will be limited to 100 pieces with the first deliveries to be made in the third quarter of 2015. The price has not been made known, but what we know is that it will not be offered in the US and China.
