Audi presented the Audi A6 L e-tron, which is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, that combines a 2 liter TFSI four-cylinder engine producing 211 hp with 350 Nm of torque and an electric motor of 91 kW (124 hp) with 220 Nm of torque. Together the system delivers 245 hp with 500 Nm of torque, with the power passing on the street via the front wheels.
The Audi A6 L e-tron is able to do the 0-100 km/hour in 8.4 seconds, it has a top speed of 210 km/h and it consumes 2.2 liters/100 km and emits 52 g/km of CO2. Its electric engine is powered by a battery of 14,1 kWh, with the car having an electric range of 50 kilometers and a total range of 880 kilometers.
It features new wheels, LED daytime running lights, e-tron logos, with the diffuser hiding its exhaust pipe, while all other design elements remain the same as those of the “simple” A6.
The car will start to be sold in China from 2016 and it will be manufactured locally by the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen.
