BMW announced that they are adding three new basic versions for the new generation of the X1. These are the sDrive16d, sDrive18i and xDrive18d, the first one is equipped with a 1.5 liter three-cylinder diesel engine producing 116 hp and 270 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, that enables it to do the 0-100 km/hour in 11.1 seconds, having a top speed that reaches 190 km/hour.

The X1 xDrive18d is equipped with a 2 liter four-cylinder engine producing 150 hp and 330 Nm of torque, available with a 6 speed manual gearbox or with an 8 speed automatic.
Finally the sDrive18i is equipped with a 1.5 liter three-cylinder turbo engine producing 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque, available with either a manual or an automatic transmission, having an average fuel consumption of 4.5 liters/100 km.
