Renault-Nissan and Daimler founded their new plant in Mexico. The factory that will be built in Aguascalientes of the Central American country, will cost $1 billion to the two companies and initially it will produce more than 230,000 vehicles per year.

The plant will manufacture the premium compact front wheel drive models based on the MFA platform, such as the Mercedes A-Class, Mercedes GLA, Infiniti Q30, and Infiniti QX30.
The factory will employ 3,600 employees, with the models of Infiniti to start their production by 2017, while those of Mercedes are scheduled to go into production by 2018.
