The fifth and penultimate special Veyron Grand Sport of the Legends Series was unveiled by Bugatti. Its name is Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess, paying tribute to the Type 18 “Black Bess”, the first supe sport car , which was equipped with a 5.0 liter 100 hp engine, allowing it to have a top speed of 161 km/hour. Ettore Bugatti was racing it, in several races , winning the hillclimb of Mont Ventoux in 1912.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess will be produced in just 3 units on the market with a cost of 2.15 million euros, with the carbon fiber body being painted in black with gold details. At the interior it features beige leather upholstery, red leather steering wheel, red seat belts and wood trimmings, the door panels have a Type 18 “Black Bess” on them, and a Morane Saulnier Type H, the plane which belonged to Roland Garros, who was one of the seven people who had bought a Black Bess.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess will be presented at Beijing on April 20, with the last special Veyron Grand Sport being dedicated to Elizabeth Junek and it will be presented at the Paris Exhibition in October.
