Buick presented the new LaCrosse. The car will be released next summer and it borrows some design details from the Avenir concept, featuring a brand new grille, new HID lights, a line running through the sides of its body, rear LED lights and 18 inch rims.
The interior of the new LaCrosse, features leather, high quality materials, wood decorations, a heated wheel and wireless charging. Also, it features a Bose audio system, the IntelliLink infotainment system and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It is based on the E2XX platform of GM, the same used by the new Chevrolet Malibu and despite the larger dimensions, it is 136 kilos lighter. It features a multi-link rear suspension, while the more expensive versions are supplied with a HiPer Strut front suspension and the Continuous Damping Control system.
Mechanically, it will be offered with the 3.6 liter LGX V6 engine, used on the Cadillac ATS, which delivers 305 hp with 363 Nm of torque, combined with a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Rumors also say that it will be available with a 2 liter turbo four-cylinder engine producing 275 hp with 400 Nm of torque.
