Cadillac presented the racing car that will replace the CTS-V Coupe, the ATS-VR. The car is manufactured in accordance with the GT3 specifications of the FIA and it will make its official debut in the Los Angeles auto show next week before starting its racing career in 2015.
The “heart” of the Cadillac ATS-VR, is the LF4.R, the racing version of the twin-turbo V6 of 3.6 liter, yields about 600 hp and it is combined with a 6-speed sequential gearbox from Xtrac. The body of the car features a hood that has vents, wide fenders, huge rear spoiler and side exhaust tailpipes. Finally, the weight of the car, as is specified in the regulations of the FIA 1.315 kg.
