Audi in order to get the homologation for the racing Sport Quattro for Group B, produced the street version of the Sport Quattro. The model was presented at the 1983 Geneva auto show and it had a body made from carbon and kevlar.
Only 220 Sport Quattro were produced by Audi. The car was equipped with a 5 cylinder 2.1 liter engine producing 306 hp at 6,700 rpm with 370 Nm of torque at 3,700 rpm.
