Caterham presented their F1 car for this year with some delay, since the problems that were encountered, forced engineers to work throughout the night in order to have the CT05 ready for the first laps of Marcus Ericsson.
The new Caterham has a unique nose, different from what we’ve seen from the other groups. Compared with last year, the pod wings are again attached to the side pods, but the absence of the vertical formers of air just above the cooling system is obvious. The roll hoop is similar to the one of the previous year, as is the air intake, while the rear spoiler has a Y100 “monkey seat”.
The presentation was done in a rather strange way, with Tony Fernandez, revealing the first pictures through his account on twitter.
