Chevrolet presented the American version of the Cruze, which is 113 kg lighter, with its body being 27% stiffer and its aerodynamic drag coefficient reaching 0,29 Cd.
The interior features a 4.2 inch digital display at the center of the instrument panel, high quality materials, a leather upholstery and chrome decorations. The car also features a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, blue backlight and the MyLink II infotainment system, which is available with a 7 or 8 inch screen.
It is equipped with a 1.4 liter turbo four-cylinder engine producing 154 hp at 5,600 rpm with 240 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm, available with either a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 6 speed automatic, with the 0-96 km/hour coming in 8 seconds, having an average fuel consumption of 5.8 liters/ 100 km when combined with the automatic transmission.
The production of the car will take place in the company’s plant in Lordstown in Ohio and it will be sold worldwide in over 40 countries. It will also be available as a hatchback and it will not be sold in Europe.
