Chevrolet presented officially at Detroit, the 2016 Chevrolet Volt, powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 101 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, combined with an electric motor powered by a battery of 18.4 kWh.
The combined horsepower, reaches 149 hp and the torque ammounts to 398 Nm. The electric range of the vehicle reaches 80 km while moving as a hybrid it can travel 676 kilometers. The average consumption of the new hybrid of Chevrolet, is 5.6 liters per 100 kilometers while the electricity consumption of the car is of the order of 102 mpg-e. The new Volt can reach 96 km/h from a standstill, in 8.4 seconds having a top speed of 158 km/h.
The design of the model is significantly more “distinctive” compared to the previous generation, but it is “conventional”. The aerodynamics play an important role, while the car features LED daytime running lights, a new front grille and new lights on the back.
The interior is bigger, because of the fact that the battery has a higher capacity, but with fewer cells. The car also features a new infotainment system.
