After the announcement that the SRT will be incorporated in Dodge, the American company, has changed its name and presented the Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R.
Besides the new name, the car has new colors and the “Dodge” logo, on the windshield and on the fenders, with the CEO of SRT Motorsports, Ralph Gilles, saying:
We honor the history of the Dodge Viper with the return to classic colors as we are in the middle of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the company. The new colors are not only reminiscent of the classic look but allow us to connect the Viper racing program with our heritage.
Dodge will celebrate the return to the tracks, on June 27, when two Viper SRT GTS-R will compete in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. In addition, however, the objective of the Motorsport department, is returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015. This year, the participation of the SRT in the GTE Pro class was canceled in March for economic reasons.
