DS will present at the Geneva auto show, the DS 7 Crossback, a new crossover that will be sold in the European market. The model will be based on the EMP2 platform of PSA.
The DS 7 Crossback has a length of 4.57 meters, a width of 1.89 meters and a height of 1.62 meters. It is available with two gasoline engines that deliver 130, 180 and 225 hp and with two diesel engines that produce 130 and 180 hp.
The engines are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic. The hybrid E-Tense version will be able to produce 300 hp and it will be combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, that sends the power to all the wheels. The E-Tense has an electric range of 60 km, with its 13 kWh batteries being able to charge within 4.5 hours, via a simple household outlet.
The car is equipped with a multitude of security systems such as the DS Connected Pilot, the Stop & Go Active Cruise Control, the DS Park Pilot, the DS Active LED Vision and many more. The DS 7 Crossback will be the main competitor of the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
Until 31 December 2017 the car will be offered in the DS Crossback La Premiere version, which can be combined with a 180 hp engine or a 225 hp engine. This version will be available in three exterior colors (gray, white and black) and it will have a leather upholstery.
The deliveries of the DS 7 will start in early 2018. The production of the car will take place at the company’s factory in Mulhouse, France and also in their factory in Shenzhen, China.
