Rubirosa participated with the 500 Mondial Spyder only in one race in Santa Barbara in September of 1954, finishing in eighth place. However at the end of the year, the car was sold to John Von Neumann from Hollywood. Since then this Ferrari has changed several owners with the current owner, to present the car at the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach in California in August.
