Fiat presented the MY2014 500, the 500 is now available in three new colors Lattementa Green, Three-layer White and Italia Blue, the latter only in the Sport version, it features new 15 and 16 inch alloy wheels. In addition, there are changes at the interior with fabric and leather, with special combinations for each version.
Since 2007 that the new 500 began its trading course to date has sold more than 1.2 million cars and it was the top -selling car in Europe in 2013 , with a share equal to the record of 13.9 % of car sales in 2008 .
At the interior the biggest change lies in the new 7 inch TFT dashboard screen. It is the first time a car in this category is equipped with such a dashboard , which has been developed in collaboration with Magneti Marelli. The system gives the driver all the information he needs, offered as a standard in the Cult and Sport versions and it can be ordered for the Lounge version.
An interesting characteristic of the TFT includes the integration of the navigation system Blue & Me TomTom 2, eventually concentrating on the same screen all the information about the audio system, the phone and the navigation. In addition, the display shows the trigger for activating the “Sport” in the version with the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo 105 HP engine.
A total of five engine variants will be available for the Fiat 500 MY 2014. The engines are the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo 105 HP, the 1.3 MultiJet II 95 HP, the 1.2 69 HP, the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo 85 HP, the last two will be combined with Dualogic gearbox and finally a 1.2 dual fuel (petrol / LPG) 69 HP engine.
The new 0.9 TwinAir produces 105 hp @ 5,500 rpm with maximum torque of 145 Nm @ 2,000 rpm. The Fiat 500 0.9 TwinAir 105 HP has a top speed of 188 km/h and an acceleration from
0-100 km/h in 10 seconds. It consumes 4.2 l/100 km with 99 g/km emission of CO2. As in previous applications of the Turbo TwinAir, the ECO mode is also available in the new version of the Fiat 500. The maximum torque under these conditions is 120 Nm and the power of 98 bhp. In addition , the Start & Stop system will be a standard in all versions.
Alongside with the Fiat 500 MY2014, Fiat announced the release of the Cult version, a
“collector’s” edition which is equipped with the Blue & Me hands-free system with Bluetooth, automatic climate control as standard equipment. It is available in both the closed and the convertible version and is characterized by the two-tone body with the coexistence of a range of colors, including the new Lattementa Green, and a ceiling that is a part glass and the rest painted in black gloss color. Additionally , the new white color will be available in the convertible versions. The exterior changes are completed with chrome details, such as the boot handle and mirror caps.
The same style continues at the interior, where the car features new leather seats (a choice of three different colors, black, red and “tobacco”), which fit nicely with the board, which is painted in body color.
The new 500 Cult is available with the turbo diesel 1.3 MultiJet II 95 HP and the petrol egnines
1.2 liter 69 HP and 0.9 liter TwinAir Turbo 85 HP ( both available with the Dualogic gearbox), as well as the new 0.9 liter TwinAir Turbo 105 HP.
