The electric-powered Harley-Davidson Livewire which was officially presented was announced by the U.S. company, as a project that will has already gotten the green light for production.
The project LiveWire, is the first attempt by the American company, on electric motorcycles. The fully functional prototype, just before entering production will be given for test rides to motorcycle riders chosen by Harley-Davidson, for evaluation. In this way the U.S. company continues on the trail of the project Rushmore, that wants the audience to play a central role in shaping the motorcycle.
With this electric motorcycle, Harley-Davidson will tour this year across the famous highway Route 66 and will visit more than 30 dealers for providing test driving through simulators. In 2015, the Project LiveWire will go also in Canada, for evaluation and afterwards it will come in Europe.
As regards to the technical characteristics of the motorcycle, the U.S. company did not reveal anything. What is very interesting to see in practice is how the new bike reaffirms its distinctive feel and the sound patterns of the American company in practice, something that Harley-Davidson claims to have accomplished. The sound, however, has nothing to do with the tone of the V2 of Harley-Davidson.
