Hyundai India presented the i20 Active, before it is officially presented next week. The car is essentially the crossover version of the i20, featuring new bumpers, roof rails, different lights with LED daytime running lights, larger fog lights, black protection along its body, as well as an increased ground clearance of 20 mm.
It will be available with the same engines as the i20, which are a 1.25 liter engine producing 84 hp with 122 Nm torque and a 1.4 liter delivering 100 hp with 134 Nm torque, while two diesel engines will also be available. The power will be passed only to the front wheels.
The interior features automatic air conditioning, aluminum pedals, ventilation in the rear and USB and AUX port.. The car will be manufactured in India and it will be sold initially only in the local market, with no information about when and if it will be available in the US and Europe.
