The CEO of Lamborghini Stephan Winkelmann in new statements, confirmed that the production version of the Urus will be equipped with a turbo engine. It will be the first model of Lamborghini that will acquire a turbo-charged engine, rumours say that it will be the V8 4,0 liter twin-turbo TFSI engine of the Audi. The car will go on sale in 2018, it will be manufactured in Slovakia with the design to be very close to that of the prototype.

Winkelmann’s response on why they preferred sending into production the Urus and not the Estoque was:
We presented the Estoque Concept shortly before the outbreak of the global financial crisis. When the economy recovered, sales of large sedans models can not be compared with those of the SUVs, which amount to hundreds of thousands annually. My father would buy a large saloon car, but I an SUV.
