Land Rover announced that the new Discovery Sport will be available with a 2 liter Ingenium turbo diesel engine. The engine will be available in Europe and in South Korea by next month and it delivers 180 hp with 430 Nm of torque. It will be combined with a 9 speed automatic transmission, that allows the car to do the 0-100 km/h in 8.9 seconds.
The car is also equipped with low rolling resistance tires, with the British company saying that later this year the model will get an even less powerful and affordable version.
