The head of research and development of Jaguar Land Rover, Wolfgang Epple, is categorically opposed to autonomous cars, according to his recent statements.
Speaking at an event at the company’s technology center, Epple said clearly that the company will never build an autonomous car, as they do not see the passengers as a “cargo”, he also said:
We will not build a robot that takes the package from point A to B
He continued, saying that although other manufacturers will build secure autonomous vehicles, the driver must always be the one responsible for any decisions.
