Lexus presented officially their Hoverboard, a magnetic levitation board, that can stay above the ground by itself without any wheels or support. The board features superconductors that are cooled with liquid nitrogen at -196 degrees Celsius, with the permanent magnets to enable it to have no contact with the ground.
The technology used by the board, is similar to that of the magnetic maglev trains in Japan. Lexus stresses that for the moment this prototype board can carry a load of up to 200 kg, but unfortunately you can not buy it, since it will not go in production.
