Lister presented the first “new” Lister Knobbly roadster. The car is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the legendary Lister Cars, the newly created company that will build the new version of the most famous race car, the 1958 Lister-Jaguar Knobbly.
The new Knobbly is built to the exact specifications as the original, with the aluminum body being entirely handmade, while the car is offered in both a racing version, and a normal one. It is available with a 3.8 liter six-cylinder in-line engine of Jaguar, delivers 330 hp and 400 Nm of torque, combined with a 4-speed gearbox, also of Jaguar. It meets the FIA regulations for historic racing and it can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with its top speed reaching 300+ km/h.
The second engine that it is available with, is a 4.6 liter V8 of Chevrolet, delivering 315 hp and 393 Nm of torque, combined with a 4-speed gearbox of the same company, with the Knobbly having a slightly different chassis to fit the engine.
The racing version of the 2014 Lister Knobbly will cost £249,000 and it is certified for historic racing. The street version on the other hand will cost £259,000.
