Lister was revived in 2013 with the merger of George Lister Engineering, Brian Lister Light Engineering and Lister Storm in a company called Lister Motor Company Limited and now they are preparing a new hypercar that will cost about €2.5, million, with the CEO of the company, Lawrence Whittaker saying
We want to come face to face with cars such as the Pagani Huayra, we want to construct a true hypercar. If you drive such a car, it is because it is made well and not because everybody has one.
Lister will equip its new hypercar with a supercharged 7.8 liter V12 engine from Jaguar, which will yield approximately 1,000 hp. Given the history of Lister, the choice was practically the only way. The block of the engine will be from Jaguar but all internal components and many of the peripherals will be significantly upgraded from Lister. Whittaker says that the 100 km/h from a standstill, will be achieved in “less than 3 seconds” and the top speed of the car will be “more than 400 km/h”.
