The one of the two drivers for Sauber for the 2015 F1 will be Marcus Ericsson, who races with the Caterham F1 Team. The Swiss team, via the President of the group, Monisha Kaltenborn, said:
We are pleased to announce this partnership. We know Marcus as a driver with excellent incentives. He had an easy first season this year in Formula 1, but remained calm and he is constantly improving, particularly in the last few races. We believe that the agreement with Marcus will give the team a boost.
The 24 year old Swede is naturally very pleased that he will remain in Formula 1 and even up to a better team than Caterham. He said:
I suddenly got the best gift for Christmas. The Sauber F1 Team gives me confidence for 2015 and it makes me proud, as the Sauber is known as one of the best teams in developing new drivers. It is a great challenge. I will do my best to grow, both as a guide, and to be part of the challenge to bring back the Sauber F1 Team near the top, where it deserves to be.
