At 2016 the Maserati Alfieri will be available for purchase, with the chief designed of Fiat, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, stating in a recent interview that:
If you put side by side the production version and the prototype, it will be impossible to find differences between the two cars.
He also said that the Maserati Alfieri will have a similar interior like that of Audi TT and Porsche 911.
The car will be manufactured at the Mirafiori plant, where the Levante,the SUV of Maserati will also be built. The Alfieri will be based on a short version of the platform used by the Ghibli and the Quattroporte and it will be offered either as a rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It will be available with a V6 twin-turbo engine producing 410, 450 and 520 hp. It will compete against the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911 and it is expected to cost around €80,000.
