Mercedes-Benz officially presented the CLA Shooting Brake and CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake. The design of the shooting brake version of the CLA, is logically influenced by the CLS Shooting Brake. The car has a length of 4630 mm, width of 1777 mm and height of 1435 mm.
Thanks to a completely different rear, the boot has grown by 25 liters, reaching 495 liters. With the seats in slightly inclined, “cargo” position the capacity increases to 595 liters and when they fall completely the available space for luggage reaches 1.354 liters.
The CLA Shooting Brake will be available as CLA 200 CDI with a four-cylinder turbodiesel 2.1 liter engine producing 136 hp and 300 Nm of torque, as a CLA 220 CDI with the same engine delivering 177 hp and 350 Nm of torque. It will also be offered with gasoline engines, the CLA Shooting Brake will be offered with a turbo 1.6 liter engine, that produces 122 hp and 200 Nm of torque for the CLA 180 version and 156 hp and 250 Nm of torque for the CLA 200. A two-liter engine with 211 hp and 350 Nm torque will also be available for the CLA 250, having the 4MATIC all-wheel drive as an extra.
The CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake will be equipped with a four-cylinder, two-liter turbo engine with 360 horses and 450 Nm of torque which is combined with the 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT, automatic transmission. The power will pass the street through the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake will be able to do the 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, having a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. Deliveries of the CLA Shooting Brake and the CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake will begin in March 2015.
