Mercedes-Benz unveiled today at Munich brand the new V-Class. The German luxury van creates a new standard in its class, adopting luxury items from the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class.
Available in two wheelbase versions (short 3.200 mm and long 3.430 mm) and three different lengths (from 4.895 mm to 5.370 mm), the new V-Class is equipped with LED tail lights and the interior features premium design with leather trim, a large 8.4 inch Command screen, circular vents, wood paneling, decorative metal and backlight.
It is available with a 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 136 hp with 330 Nm torque at the 200 CDI version, while the 220 CDI version has the same engine producing 163 hp with 380 Nm of torque. Finally the 250 BlueTec is equipped with a 4 cylinder 2.1 liter engine producing 190 hp with 440 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission.
The production will take place at the Vitoria plant in Spain, in which Mercedes-Benz has invested 190 million so that it can accommodate the construction of the new model, which will begin sales initially in Germany, by the end of May.
