Mercedes on the sidelines of the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf presented the V-Class Marco Polo, a compact camper van which “sets new standards of elegance, quality, practicality and comfort.”
Besides the kitchen, sink, refrigerator, and coffee table, the caravan has wooden flooring, LED daytime running lights, leather upholstery and black and shiny decorations. The electric rear seats can be folded and converted into a bed with the touch of a button, while a second mattress exists in the roof apartment.
Mechanically the Mercedes V-Class Marco Polo will be available with a range of engines. The Marco Polo 200 CDI version produces 136 hp with 330 Nm of torque, the 220 CDI 163 hp and 380 Nm of torque, while there are versions with 190 hp and 440 Nm of torque and 204 hp and 480 Nm of torque. Sales will start in Germany at 29 of the month.
