The head of BMW Group design, Adrian van Hooydonk hinted that Mini is thinking of releasing a Countryman Coupe SUV. He said that Mini is seriously considering adding a new version in the range of the new Countryman, which will be named Countryman Coupe.
The car will be manufactured in Graz, Austria, from Magna Steyr, and it will have four-doors, with a slightly longer wheelbase than the Paceman.
He also said that part of the problem of designing a Coupe SUV was the two doors, since all BMW Coupe SUVs have four doors and he also added that people who do not really need four-door cars, usually appreciate having easy access to the rear seats.
