Mitsubishi is teasing the new Outlander through a photo, that says that the car will be presented at the New York auto show in April 2.

The car will have new lights, new bumpers, new wheels, chrome decorations and new fog lights, with its design to be influenced by that of the XR-PHEV concept.
The interior will be upgraded and it will features high quality materials. Mechanically, the Outlander will be available with a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine, combined with a CVT transmission. Rumors say that Mitsubishi is working on a plug-in hybrid version (PHEV) of the Outlander that combines a 2.0 liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors powered by a lithium-ion 12 kWh battery, having an electric range of 55 kilometers and a total range of 870 kilometers.
