Mitsubishi has officially announced that they will return to racing with the Space Star R5, presented last September and they will participate in this new category that is gaining more and more manufacturers, with participants like the Citroen DS3, Peugeot 208 T16, Skoda Fabia, and Ford Fiesta, however, the Polish company Euromaster prepared the first car and began its development tests.

The car is adapted to the regulations for 2015. The mechanical parts are used from the Lancer Evo X, which means that the rally car is a four-wheel drive, with the 2 liter turbo engine that equips it to deliver 400 hp and 650 Nm torque. The car rests on 18-inch wheels with Michelin SA01 tires, the gearbox is a 5-speed sequential and the suspension is by Reiger. It weighs about 1250 kg, with the 0-100 km/h completed in 3.7 sec., having a top speed of 215 km/hour depending on the gearing of the gearbox.
