Aston Martin presented last summer the AM-RB 001, the new hypercar that they have developed together with Red Bull. Its design is reminiscent of LMP1 racing cars of Le Mans and it has been done by Adrian Newey of Red Bull Racing, and Marek Reichman, head of design of Aston Martin.
The car’s aerodynamic shape, will enable it to produce 1,814 kilos of downforce without making use of a large rear spoiler.
The hypercar will have a 1:1 power-weight ratio and it will produce over 1,000 hp from a brand new V12 engine that will be combined with electric motors. Its cost will be between £2 and £3 million and 450 people have already expressed interest, though only 150 Aston Martin AM-RB 001 will be produced.
It is expected to have 4G lateral acceleration, when current hypercars touch only 2G, while the company claims it will be able to do the 0-320 km/h in around 10 seconds.
