Nissan announced that the Titan and Titan XD will be offered on the market with a new 5.6 liter V8 gasoline engine. The engine delivers 390 hp and 543 Nm of torque and it is 73 hp and 21 Nm of torque stronger than the old 5.6 liter V8 engine that it replaces.
The new V8 engine features direct injection technology, it has four valves per cylinder, a higher compression ratio and it provides better throttle response, while it is equipped with Variable Valve Event & Lift technology. It will be combined with a new 7 speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control and Downshift Rev Matching functions.
