Infiniti gave the first pictures of the ESQ, which is essentially a Nissan Juke Nismo with the logos of Infiniti. The presentation of the car will be made in Chengdu on the 29th of the month, the Infiniti ESQ will be sold exclusively in the Chinese market.
The car features the same aggressive body kit as the Juke Nismo having a front spoiler, side skirts, new grille, diffuser and new 18 inch alloy wheels.
It will be equipped with a supercharged 1.6 liter four-cylinder 200 hp engine with 250 Nm of torque, coupled with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and the four-wheel drive of Nissan.
The car will be built at the company’s factory in Xiangyang at the Hubei area, to be able to meet the growing Chinese demand for new cars. Infiniti aims and wants to sell 500,000 cars globally by 2016, with the sales of the ESQ to begin in October with an initial price of 200.000 yuan, with the fully equipped version costing 300.000 yuan.
