Opel celebrates the 750.000 Insignia that were built in the Rüsselsheim plant. The 750.000th car was a blue Insignia OPC Sports Tourer equipped with a 2,8 liter V6 turbo engine. At 2014 Opel sold more than 100.000 Insignias (+ 19%), with the car becoming the fourth most popular model of Opel.
The CEO of Opel Group, Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann talked about the importance of the Insignia for the whole company:
