Renaultsport presented the Renaultsport RS 01, which will be officially presented at the Moscow Motor Show. The racing car is built on a carbon monocoque chassis that meets the LMP1 regulations. The total weight of the car reaches 1,100 kilos, the engine comes from Nissan. In particular is the 3,8 liter V6 engine of the GT-R, which with the tuning of Nismo delivers more than 500 hp and 600 Nm of torque.
The power goes on the road to the rear wheels via a seven-speed sequential gearbox of Sadev, the car has a top speed of over 300 km/h. The tires are of Michelin, specifically made for this vehicle. The car stands on 18 inch wheels of Braid, while the braking of the RS 01 is taken care of its six-piston calipers brakes with 380 mm ceramic discs.
The rest of the car body is made of synthetic materials and includes a low front splitter that directs the air ahead of the front wheels and then to the side air intakes. On the back there is a huge spoiler and diffuser of similar size, while the lights are made of LED, with the exhaust having two tailpipes.
Its length is 4,710 mm, it is just 2 meters wide, it has a height of 1,166 mm, and a wheelbase that reaches 2,744 mm. The 2-way adjustable suspension is from Öhlins and they have a pushrod set-up with double wishbones, while the car also has the necessary roll cage.
The CEO of Renault Sport Technologies, Patrice Ratti, describing the RS 01 said:

The car costs € 355.000 and it will participate in the World Series by Renault next year , at the league that will be called Renaultsport Trophy.
