The last days rumors say that Aston Martin will release an all electric Rapide, to reduce average emissions. The CEO of Aston Martin, Andy Palmer, said that an electric sedan of the company could be released in about two to three years. With the rumors saying that the model will be an all electric Rapide.
According to Palmer motivation for such a move is twofold. First they want to offer a car that is much more luxurious than the market today, and secondly, as I said, to comply with regulations for emissions and consumption.
The British CEO said:
I really believe that we can keep the V12 engines alive forever. To do this, we need something with low emissions and there is nothing better than an electric car.
