MINI can not decide whether to produce or not the Superleggera concept, that was presented in 2014 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este! The latest statements by the head of the company, Peter Schwarzenbauer, reflect exactly this.
Schwarzenbauer said:
The interest of the world was impressive. Now, we are working hard to get it out in the street. It is a financially difficult project even if there is no definitive decision, but we have many people here who are fighting for it. I think it would be very good for the brand.
The Superleggera will be based on the UKL platform and it will be offered with many engines, including a hybrid system. As for its launch, rumors say that it will happen after 2017.
