Seat presented the updated version of the Leon, that has new lights at the front and rear, slightly different bumpers, a wider front grille, new wheels, chrome decorations and a LED backlight at the interior.

The interior features a new touch screen of 8-inches for the infotainment system and fewer physical buttons. It is equipped with the Traffic Jam Assist system, the Lane Assist system and Adaptive Cruise Control, while it also has wireless smart phone charging. The Xcellence version offers additional chrome decorations, different design for the bumpers, LED backlight and a keyless entry system.

Mechanically it is available with a new 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine producing 115 hp and a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivering 115 hp. Seat has announced that the Leon ST 4Drive equipped with a 2.0-liter TDI engine delivering 150 hp, will be combined with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The entry-level diesel engine is a 1.6-liter TDI producing 90 hp, while top diesel engine is a 2.0-liter TDI engine producing 184 hp.

The Leon Cupra will be unveiled in the near future and according to Seat it will come “with surprises.” It remains to be seen what this means, but rumors say that it will produce over 300 hp.
