Nissan will unveil the new Titan in the Detroit auto show, with the car caught by the camera on a spy video. The car will be available with a 5,0 liter V8 turbodiesel Cummins engine producing more than 300 hp and 744 Nm of torque with sales to begin in the second half of 2015.
The engine will be combined with a sequential twin-turbo system. It is called Holset M2 Two-Stage System and consists of two turbos, one small and one larger, with the small to provide power at low speeds and the large at the middle and high speeds, providing better torque distribution.
The system has an electrically controlled rotary valve which directs the flow of gas in one of the two turbos, depending on load and engine speed. The system promises to provide an engine with smooth torque curve, as well as reduced power consumption with lower CO2 emissions.
